My Art

Following my passion of art over the years, I've really grown an interest in depicting great events like riots or war. Huge events which require great amounts of detail and great stories in every inch of the piece. Using symbolism to depict back stories and other interesting events are my focus this year. I am choosing to focus my art work in the subject of current events. As new events occur around the world, I'm going to try and draw them for my major project. As of now I will be focusing on unfolding events in places such as Syria and Egypt.

Scholastic Art Review

This is a great website. I really enjoy the types of features on this website, and I especially like what this Scholastic Art program is about. The web page is well organized, as I browsed it I was able to view many of its features. My favorite component of this site was its gallery again. The gallery had a great variety of art pieces made by kids my age and younger. Some were even 13! You could tell many of these award winning art pieces made by kids had great stories behind them. This website did a great job of grabbing my attention. 10 out of 10.

Wisconsin Arts Board Review

The Wisconsin Arts Board website really did not strike me as interesting, or anything at all really. I feel this website would be more important to those who really take art seriously, maybe even competitively. I unfortunately do not take art seriously enough to play any role with the Arts Board, I just do art because it's fun and it's a hobby of mine.

Portal Wisconsin Review

I visited a website called Portal Wisconsin. This site has a variety of great features, such as upcoming events, opportunities, a gallery, and tours. The category which grabbed most of my attention was the gallery. The gallery features many different types of medias and art types featured in Wisconsin. One section was titled mixed media. Mixed media really seemed to grab my attention to the variety of art it contained. One artist really grabbed my attention; Lori Chilefone. Her art pieces were quite bizarre and seemed to depict a farmer woman. Overall this website is great for artists in Wisconsin. I'd give it a nine out of ten. (One point off because the website wasn't colorful.)
